Based on Continental GT Speed

Back in December Zagato announced that they would be working with Bentley on a new project but failed to mention which Bentley. Now we know, as we guessed in December it will indeed be the Bentley continental GT Speed.

Zagato makes an appearance every year at the Geneva Motor Show (last year we we shocked by the Spyker Zagato C12 and the Diatto Ottovu Project) and this year is no different. The Bentley Zagato GTZ receives quite a make-over with a new Veyron-ish front grille but it is in the rear where most of the personalizing took place with a curved roof and window.

We will have to wait for the official press release to go into details, but until then you can feast your eyes on the leaked images.

So good to see Zagato back doing what they do best (and with their trademark double bubble roof). Hopefully they have also kept with tradition and lightened the big old bruiser. Their Astons from the 50s and 60s and their takes on Lancias were always sublime.

Great job as usual, too bad this platform (VW Phaeton) lacked the nobility of a RWD car with a longer bonnet and greater axis-to-dash ratio, as a true Bentley deserves. Maybe the next gen Continental, hopefully...

um well upon seeing the rear end, i find it disappointing, theyve gone too far with the Z double bubble, looks like melted down plastic =/

That is a very ugly car! It looks too cramped and fiddly at the front, those headlights don't look right and the 2-tone looks rubbish!

by Starscream123 | March 2, 2008 4:00 PM
really, they have taken a good looking cars and made it ugly
