This years Wörthersee Volkswagen meet saw the introduction of a few very special Volkswagen Groups concepts and prototypes, namely the Audi TT Clubsport speedster, Golf GTI Performance Concept, Passat R36 Individual Styling Study, Scirocco GT24 race car and the Audi A3 TDI Clubsport quattro Concept as a bonus from Audi.

What Volkswagen kept quiet about though was the Volkswagen Scirocco Collectors Edition which they took along to test the waters and get some response from their core audience, the VW enthusiasts. When the Scirocco debuted at Geneva, Volkswagen equipped their show model with a fancy black and white leather interior and fitted huge 19 inch wheels, but neither are official options when the Scirocco goes on sale this summer. According to VW they are contemplating to make these two options official, but no word about when they'll be available or whether it will turn into a limited edition model.

Hopefully feedback has been positive because we would love to see a 'show model' options available to the public.

Why silver? It makes the car so boring, special edition should be SPECIAL - flashy, different from the rest.

And the interior seem quite boring too. First pics of new Rocco had full caramel color leather interior. That was nice.

those 19" wheels are the best, they are fake "fake vortex", how come theyre not available? say bye to 50% of the scirocco's sexiness then..

lovely car, but its not really a coupe is it? its a hatchback.

by Laterzzz | May 27, 2008 10:09 PM
it should be called Golf Plus Minus

by afterace2 | May 27, 2008 10:16 PM
it is a coupé for as long as the windshield angle and body height differ from the upcoming golf regardless of it having a 3rd door

popular design style for wrx. car is small well balanced chassis and frame, ferocious 4 banger and 2clutch zf transmission. would luv2c this as wrx as i consider that the ultimate design purpose for designers pursuit. similar 2 winning focus and bigger than those supersmall french wrx -citroen and peugot.

know this. that car was designed on state of the art design software. is one of the newest designs of ANY car manu. (most carsmodels are design updates constrained by the original design)

one of the newest completely new state of the art design of a supersport racer/mini. this car is gonna be world seller if vw smart enough.

this car's performance when tuners finish with it will be the fastest/best streetracer in any city, any continent. take it 2 the japanese in japan. world tuner topcar streetracer.
