Here it is, Top Gear has officially announced who will present the USA version, or at least the pilot show in case the US public collectively decide to ignore the show. The presenters will be Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust and Eric Stromer.

Adam Carolla, best known for his radio show (the Adam Carolla Show of course) and for presenting and producing Crank Yankers, will be leading the pack. More importantly than his presenting skill is that he owns two classic Lamborghini's, Ferraris, Maseratis and an Audi S4.

Tanner Foust is possibly the least famous but most regarded when it comes to driving skills. He spends most of his time stunt driving and has worked on films such as The Bourne Ultimatum, Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift and The Dukes Of Hazzard. Besides that he also does rally driving, ice driving, drifting and time attacks and he'll be pulling into the studio parking lot with his BMW M3.

And last but not least is Eric Stromer, the US version of doctor slow, who drives a Toyota Camry Hybrid and is Adam's DIY side-kick on his radio show. Whether 'The Stig' will see a US copy was not mentioned but maybe Tanner will see to the professional hoonage.

by Remi610 | June 17, 2008 10:53 PM
Lol exactly what I was thinking! Flop Gear lol

by Kaamraan | June 17, 2008 11:28 PM
Simple principle - two is better than one. Now we'll have two Top-Gear shows to watch, how bad can it be?

by LMS | June 18, 2008 10:20 AM
Time will tell if this is going to be any good.

Why trying to make bad american copys all the time? Try coming up whith your own ideas sometime.

by cronan | June 17, 2008 9:47 PM
yea cause we don't have any original shows here in America. Think up next time

by gmfan09 | June 17, 2008 10:48 PM
Yea whats the point id rather watch the original team as they have personalities and always make top gear a good watch, there's an australian top gear coming too but here in nz people would rather watch clarkson, hamster and may and the stig they crack me up every time..

by mortz | June 17, 2008 11:49 PM
I agree with the guyz..this is not TopGear!

by Pentium | June 18, 2008 2:41 AM
Hmm yeah BAD idea ,

by Spyshot-73 | June 18, 2008 3:14 AM
The new Vette will have a 9000 cubic inch motoa and live axle leaf spring, which is the most sophisticated suspension in the world and my mamma isa two bit whore...........Yanks....they are right about everything

by Kawaka900 | June 18, 2008 4:07 AM
Dang it...they even look similar and have similar style of clothing from several season back...this stinks...

It can't be Top Gear unless Clarkson says "More powerrrrr" on the show....

by schizo0223 | June 18, 2008 4:19 AM
POINTLESS!

by M! | June 18, 2008 4:42 AM
We dont have as good of cars as they do. They have the crazy exotics that we cant get for a while. They r going to have to do a lot of the extra stuff like the tractor test, boat cars, stretching a car etc......

by pzigly | June 18, 2008 5:37 AM
i think that this will flop and so will the auzzie one aswell... u cant replace clarkson hamster and captain slow

by BabyMilo | June 18, 2008 6:17 AM
Horrible choices. I knew that Clarkson, Hamster and the other guy would not be the hosts but come on... Jay Leno would've been a great host but he declined out of respect for the original show. Atleast bring in some real car enthusiasts.

by brocky | June 18, 2008 6:44 AM
Tanner will be the only one worth a damn in this...

by Xenicide | June 18, 2008 6:47 AM
Come on WCF do a bit of research it's "Captain slow" not Doctor slow.

by Davethepetrolhead | June 18, 2008 10:43 AM
NO Jeremy Clarkson NO TOPGEAR

by mtc911 | June 18, 2008 1:38 PM
doctor slow? how about Captain Slow, WCF, COME ON. 2 seconds of research.

by dlippke | June 18, 2008 4:07 PM

Has any body read Jeremy clarkson's review of the Nissan gtr on the top gear site, he states its the best car hes ever driven! must be good for a comment like that from J.K

by mortz | June 18, 2008 10:09 PM
jeremy says that about all the cars he likes!

by michelin901 | June 19, 2008 12:19 AM
Yeah, Clakson sais that about everything. But the GT-R is amazing.

jay leno would have been much better

by michelin901 | June 19, 2008 12:19 AM
I agree. Jay Leno would have been great for this position. this Tanner Foust person appears to have all the credentials for the program, but as for the other two... I don't think so.
