Lada are one of those automotive manufacturers which many enthusiasts around the world see as nothing more than laughing material. This reputation wasn't helped when a crazy and quite ridiculously styled SUV concept attributed to Lada surfaced a couple of weeks a go which was supposed to debut at the Moscow Motor Show. Thankfully this mode never showed up, but one model that did show up is the Lada C-Cross Concept.

The design study demonstrates the styling of an upcoming C-segment crossover currently in development. It will be based on the current Renault Megane platform with a re-worked suspension, pricing will start at around 450,000 rubles (12,800 Euros).

One stumbling block the manufacturer may find is the model's clear similarities with the European Ford Focus.

Can't see much of a resemblance to the Focus and can't understand why that would be considered a bad thing anyway. More likely to damage this car is the Russian governments move against the Westerm world and support for Iran.

Let them move anywhere they want, what's it to you?? How did what they did change your life enough that you had to come cry about it on a car site? U ppl are pathetic just like all those hippies with the chinese olympics, mind ur own business.

Finally something pleasant to look at from LADA. I knew it would take Renault to turn the design group around. Now they just need people to have money to buy it and they will be all set.

this car looks like it was designed by a russian design student - and guess what: this car is really designed by a russian design student! :D

Doesn't look bad at all! And since it's based on the Megane, the technical stuff should be quite good, too. Unlike the current Lada models with no ABS or anything :D

Fake. That's not a LADA.

I was thinking more if an Infiniti FX and Saturn VUE had an illegitimate affair while in the design studio.

I would have to agree, afterace2. It does resemble some styling cues of the CX-7. Which is not a bad thing either considering the successful renewal of the Mazda brand.
