Jaguar and Land Rover fans, take note. German tuner Arden has just released its latest supercharger upgrade kit for the Jag/LR V8. The new kit uses an ultra-efficient twin-scroll supercharger with better response. It provides up to 80 additional horsepower and 140 Nm torque, making 550-horsepower upgrades to the XJR and Range Rover Sport possible.

The kit is available for the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover LM equipped with the 4.2 liter supercharged V8. It’s also available for Jaguar models with that powerplant: the XJR, XKR, S-type R and XF SV8.

Arden says the new supercharger kit is self-contained and manufactured to racing standards, and can be installed by most knowledgeable shops. It’s major surgery, but engine removal is not necessary in all applications.

Press Release (Click to expand)

The latest technological development from Arden is a supercharger kit for Jaguar and Range Rover V8 engines. After extensive studies a superb supercharger system is now available, from which results a performance increase of 80 bhp (58,8 kW) and 140 Nm of additional torque. Such performances can normally only be achieved by larger engines. The high end stage can generate up to 550 bhp. Besides a much better response behavior, the performance in the whole engine speed range inspires the most.

We use a state of the art “Twin Screw Compressor” with an unbeaten efficiency of 98 percent. Production and quality meets highest motorsport standards. The Arden Supercharger Kit is a ready-to-install system and can be mounted easily by every professional workshop. It was important for us to develop a non-complicated system, which can be fitted on the Range Rover models without removing the motor from the engine compartment.

Our kits are available for the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover LM, both with the 4.2 Supercharger engine, as well as for the Jaguar models XJR, XKR, S-Type R and XF SV8.

Maybe I need to brush-up on my math but, isn't 420 + 80 500?

It's 550 with their 4.5L Upgrade which consists of "More engine capacity through special crankshaft with forged and lighter pistons and connecting rods. Machined cylinder heads with specially fabricated camshafts and valve springs. Modificated engine management, increased fuel and boost pressure and Arden high-performance exhaust system together with sport Arden catalytic converters."

Plus this new S/C

So, its a 4.5L upgrade, then this S/C upgrade to make 550? Thats interesting...

How much increase would've been possible with just a pulley and ECU upgrade like Kleeman or Carlsson does with the Merc engines? This seems like alot of rework for that much gain...

Tata Motors should buy Arden and make it official tuner of Jaguar like Mercedes did with AMG. Jaguars have to be faster and more powerful, to compete with Aston's, Ferrari's and Maserati's like in the 50's and 60's

Ha, never going to happen, go and read up on the company. The guy doesn't do it for $, he simply just loves british cars, no reason for him to sell.
