Spyker D12 Peking to Paris SUV Heading for Production
Three years after its debut at the Geneva motor show, Spyker will begin producing the D12 Peking to Paris SUV next year.
Power comes from Volkswagen's W12 engine but Spyker failed to provide performance specifications for their application of the engine. However the company did state that the engine will allow the D12 to run from 0-60 mph in 5 seconds flat and reach a top speed of 185 mph.
Even in an era where the SUV has passed its prime and with a global financial crisis in full swing, Spyker says demand remains high for the £186,000 D12. In fact demand is expected to be so high that the new D12 will be built on a production line instead of being hand built like previous Spykers.

who are they kidding? it looks like a... a... i dont even know!? in fact, i really dont want to know... bloody hell its making me cringe!
This is, quite simply, an abomination. It is not just speaking the same design language as the elegant C8, it is also wearing the C8's lingerie and gowns, dressing up and dancing in front of the mirror while alone in its room. It is pathetic! Regulars to WCF know I am strongly anti-SUV, but, more importantly, I'm anti-stupidity... which is what this is.
The interior isn't worth all the acclaim it is about to get, either. There is (quite literally) scaffolding in the middle, and the centre console is done in a similar fashion to the metal-topped counters you would find in my garage, with screws as inconspicuous as a slap in the face. Same goes for the panels covering the sides of the front seats; noticeable fasteners. There is nothing refined about being able to see fasteners. Completely unacceptable.
I love the detail Spyker put into their vehicles. They are exceptional in the automotive world, maybe not necessarily for their craftsmanship, but for the discernible feeling of craftsmanship their vehicles imbue. This fits that ticket, but fails hard, nonetheless.
IT'S FUGLY.
And audinick, stop the crap kthx.
Just cause something is rare doesn't justify its absurdity..
