The new Nissan 370 Z, called the Fairlady-Z in Japan, is coming soon and Nissan's in-house tuner, Nismo, has released some new pics here to titilate the market for its latest model.

In these tough times, it may be a good idea to get as much buzz going for your new release. And maybe drum up business for your in-house tuner too. Because, that is essentially selling the customer on an additional set of options, which is where automakers really make the bulk of their their profits on a vehicle anyway.

That may sound cynical but Nismo offers just enough bells a whistles on the new 370Z to spice up the car but nothing under the hood that could bump this Z up into Germanic-competing territory.

We have previously reported on the two packages that Nismo is offering on the 370Z. An S-Tune Aero Package, focused on an improved aerodynamic performance. And a S-Tune Performance Package, with Nismo LMZ5 19" wheels, new break pads, S-Tune Suspension and Nismo Stainless Exhaust for better throttle response and a livelier, road-rumbling sound.

Fairlady, yes. But just barely.

dont normally like aftermarket versions of cars but this one looks pretty good. testement to an already good looking car.

It's not aftermarket. NISMO is part of Nissan.

This looks a lot better than the stock version. Still not too crazy about the fans in the center intake.

Have this got the old 350Z "G Attack" suspension?

by MTC | December 2, 2008 6:10 PM
the old 350Z Nismo suspension tuning was called "G Attack"

To the critics of the 370Z: Are you really sports car enthusiast? So it doesn't look like a Porsche or Audi, but is it suppose to? I happen to think the new Z is a perfect mix of form, style, and function; the craftsmanship is beautifully done in my opinion. But it's surprising to me that so many are displeased with the look of this car yet, in general, love the styling of the GT-R. I'm not saying that the GT-R is bad looking, I just think that some of the curves and angles don't match up well; overall it looks a bit confused.

I don't know and I think the 370z doesn't know. I think the styling here reeks of confusion. Is it aggressive? Is is smooth and silky? The previous generation was defined, it was . . . ?edge?, but it worked because it was synonymous throughout. This generation doesn't even sound good. The flared fenders are overdone and remind me of some bad styling going on at dodge or ford.

To all worldcarfans, it is no r8 ;)

On a later note, this car is going to perform really well, especially for the price. so i guess what really matters is what it looks like from the inside.

I have to add that the 370Z has grown on me. From the beginning, I didn't like the car, specially when it comes to the headlilghts and the front bumper. The body style i can live with and I can see this as a contender for the most tuned car on the market for 2009. But now with nimso showing off their version, it's starting to grow on me.

OMG dont ask why but i LOVE IT!! IT looks amazing!

Blame it on all the boring cars on the streets? It is controversial but atleast its intresting! And that is very refreshing!
