New Version On Sale

There are two new, well-equipped models available on the Ibiza range, the 130 hp TDI FR and the 'Fresh' version. They can both be purchased in SEAT's sales network in Spain. The Ibiza now features two different engines on its FR range, the 130 hp (96 kW) 1.9 TDI and the 150 hp (110 kW) 1.8 20VT. The Ibiza FR TDI replaces the Sport version which was available with the same engine. The sporty Ibiza FR is equipped with specific suspension ratings, including stiffer coils and Agile Chassis. Compared with the previous Sport version, the coils are 25% stiffer on the front shaft and 10% on the rear. Stiffer coils and a 5% larger diameter on the front anti-roll bar (Ø 19 mm) give the Ibiza FR approximately 15% greater resistance to rocking, sportier handling and road-hugging speed around curves. Another modification introduced on the Ibiza FR TDI is sportier gear shifting with tighter gears. Response has been improved substantially in higher gears, and the FR accelerates from 60 to 100 km/h in sixth in 11.3 seconds (6.7 seconds faster than the previous 130 hp Sport TDI). Top speed is now 208 km/h in sixth and 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is reached in 9.3 seconds (compared to 207 km/h and 9.4 seconds). The 130 hp Ibiza FR TDI gives a combined fuel consumption figure of 5.4 litres for every 100 km, and only 4.5 litres on the extra-urban cycle. Both SEAT Ibiza FR units look practically the same on the outside. They feature a honeycomb mesh on the front bumper, satiny silver coloured door mirrors, smoky titanium coloured light clusters, specific 16 inch alloy rims, 205/45 tyres, the 'FR' badge on the central pillars and double, chromed tailpipe. The Diesel version differs from the 150 hp FR by the 'TDI' badge on the rear hatch. The Ibiza FR features standard equipment such as climate control, foglamps, power windows, electrically adjusting door mirrors, tinted glass, radio-CD sound system with 6 speakers, metallic seen upholstery, driver and passenger airbag, on-board computer, pyrotechnic front seatbelts, and rear door-side seatbelts with three-point anchoring. The complete equipment level can be complemented with ESP (including EBA), curtain airbag, switchable passenger airbag, door mirrors with electric park position, leather upholstery, xenon headlamps, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, CD loader, navigation system, telephone pre-installation, volumetric alarm and sunroof.

Ibiza 'Fresh'

This new version is available with four engines - 75 hp (55 kW) 1.4, 100 hp (74 kW) 1.4, 75 hp (55 kW) 1.4 TDI and 100 hp (74 kW) 1.9 TDI. Building on the entry level Stella, the Ibiza 'Fresh' includes the following elements as standard - climate control, radio-CD player with six speakers, exclusive upholstery and new 15 inch alloy rims.
