  • Calendar Year-to-Date Sales Increased by 17 Percent
  • Calendar Year-to-Date Sales Increased by 13 Percent
Porsche Cars North America, Inc., (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars (Boxster, 911 and Cayenne) in the United States, announced U.S. retail sales for July totaled 2,551 cars, an increase of 12 percent compared to the same period last year. Calendar year-to-date sales increased by 2,053 cars, or 13 percent, to 15,766 cars. Canadian retail sales for June totaled 145 cars, compared to 179 for the same period last year, a decrease of 19 percent. Calendar year-to-date sales increased by 184 cars, or 17 percent, to 1,052 cars. "Lagging consumer confidence is having an impact on the sportscar segment and Porsche is not immune" said Peter Schwarzenbauer, PCNA President and CEO. "However, our strategy of introducing a luxury SUV is paying off as evidenced by our North American Cayenne sales of more than 6,700 since its March introduction."
